A beautiful castle surrounded by a moat sits in this green, picturesque park. On a warm day, it is the perfect place to go for a stroll hand in hand, sit by the water, have a little picnic, visit the Vajdahunyad Castle or one of the restaurants around it and watch the ducks swim by. During winter an ice rink brings a festive feel to the park. You can skate under beautiful lights and then get warmed up with a hot mug of mulled wine. City Park, also known as City Park, is a stone's throw away from Heroes' Square, the now famous square in Budapest With Kunsthalle on one side of the square, housing contemporary arts, and Fine Arts Museum of Fine Arts on the other, it's the perfect opportunity to do some sightseeing.
Budapest is famous for its thermal baths which are situated all over the city, with many offering couples massages and the opportunity to bathe in the rich medicinal water springs of Hungary. With the Széchenyi thermal bath being one of the largest complexes in Europe with 21 pools of different sizes and temperatures, it's the perfect way for you both to relax and unwind in its therapeutic waters.
Walking up to the top of Gellért Hill is one of many free things to do in the city center, there's not a more breathtaking view in Budapest than watching the sunset from above the city. Take a short bus ride up to the Citadel or take advantage of a beautiful walk through the park to the top and you'll be greeted with a spectacular view of the Danube and 8 of its unique bridges. You can take in the changing light as the day draws to an end and the city lights start to twinkle. Watching the sunset in Budapest is a must-do experience for anyone visiting the city. Budapest has a large variety of markets that take place throughout the year, and many beautiful buildings holding flea and farmers markets for locals and tourists to mingle and find quality homemade / homegrown products. Visiting the homegrown produce market held in the famous ruin bar of Szimpla is a great way to sample and purchase some Hungarian delicacies together whilst seeing the famous ruin bar come alive with people during the day. A five-minute stroll from Simple on a weekend will take you to Gozsdu: a street made of bars, restaurants and shops. Gozsdu Weekend Marketis a treasure trove of homemade jewelery, art, antiques and unique souvenir stalls. You will not leave the street without falling in love with the abundance of quality products this amazing market has to offer.
